	As I understood his message, Karl was right -- BMW, in their normal yet confusing process of model evolution, used to fit the 530 with a smaller displacement version of the V8 in the 540.  Now it has the same 3.0 I6 as the 330.  In 1995 the 530 was a V8.
	 
	Jet lag may be affecting my humor lobe, so my apologies if I missed a joke, but no modern street BMW has a V6, and the 535 was an I6.
	 
	Alfa content -- We'd all be happier and less inclined to ramble about B cars and P cars if they'd just let us have the 156 and 166 (and please, please, the 147 T-spark) in the USA!  I know about the Autodelta scheme, but the cost is prohibitive to cheap guys like me.
