Great Mechanic I found in Ocala Florida
Hey all,
Scarlet broke down and left me stranded on the interstate. The
electric fuel pump went out. I called around and found a Mercedes specialist
who said he knows Alfa's but no one else in his shop does and he didn't work
anymore in the garage. He told me to call Luigi's.
I could barely understand the man because of his thick Italian accent.
But that made me feel better for some odd reason anyway. LOL Anyway, He had
the car for one day and had a rebuilt pump in it. I asked him to give the
car a once over. When I got there to pick it up he had fixed my turn
signals, replace one of my horns with a spare he had for $7.00 (which was
great since neither worked) and had fixed a few other odds and ends on the
car with no other parts charge. He had at least one parts Alfa behind his
shop. Used to work in Italy for one of the Italian car makers, don't
remember which, and then in New York for ten years before he came here.
He was actually kind of affectionate towards my ugly little baby. We
talked about Alfa's in general for a little bit and he really does like them.
He only charged $100 for labor. Which to me was a good deal. Only down
side, he doesn't read or write English so he can't process credit cards. It
was late Friday and he said if I didn't have the cash just to take the car
and bring the cash by the following week.
How cool is that!
Anyway, If you need a mechanic for your Alfa in my neck of the woods, I
suggest this guy.
