Milano clutch woes

Well, I'm about ready to shoot my '87 Gold Milano.

It's had a clutch problem for some time now. The clutch will slowly
engage while I'm holding the pedal down. Then I have no pedal.
Suspecting the cylinders, I replaced and bled the slave, but I still get
the same behaviour. I can get some pedal pressure if I pump it up for a
minute, but then if I hold the clutch pedal down with the car in gear,
the clutch will slowly engage.

I suppose I'm asking for any alternatives to changing the master, since
I have no idea how to do it and I've heard that it can be a bear. But I
don't see any alternative at this point.

*sigh* I guess I should take the hint and admit that I don't have the
time, patience, money, or possibly, mechanical aptitude to deal with
this car. Anyone want to buy it, and my parts car? Will trade for
something boring? (I'm located in Winston-Salem, NC).

Thanks,
Peter
