Drop throttle "oversteer"

Er, guys, most competent manufacturers design in a little drop throttle
"oversteer" into every front drive vehicle precisely to address the
terminal understeer issue. Trust me, terminal understeer is a lot easier to
deal with in the real world than any degree of oversteer. The correct
handling technique for an overcooked corner in a fwd car is to drop the
throttle to tighten the line then get right back in it. It works.

And the Audi 4000 isn't exactly the paragon of engineering skill to be
holding up in these discussions. The Audi 4000 fwd car was pretty mundane,
and not a very good handler. The front weight bias was extreme and the
drivetrain overhung the front axle by a lot. To describe the "transient"
characteristics of that car as terminal understeer was being kind. It was
in fact very like a Porsche 911 driven backwards.

Cheers
