sensor for electric fan

Does anyone know the "trigger" temperature of the radiator fan thermoswitch
used in the GTV/6, Milano and late Spiders?  These switches are cheap (~$10),
and it would seem a great choice to use to drive a fan in my GTV 2000 if they
activate at around 200 degrees.  Has anyone else used this switch for an older
car?
