Alemanno Abarth spider

In AD V8 #545, Lawrence Gowin said he was curious about a car offered on
eBay as a 1959 "Abarth Alamono". Lawrence thought it looked "similar to a
750 Spider" and asked "Was this penned by Pinin Farina? Does anyone know
anything about these?".

This car was one of the small-production"etceterini" that inventive Italian
tuners and coachbuilders of that era created from inexpensive Fiat
mechanical components and purpose-built sheetmetal. This was assembled by
Alemanno (not Alamono) and used Fiat 600 mechanicals, so the layout is
rear-engine and RWD, with water cooling. The car actually looks nothing
like a Giulietta in person, despite a few similar lines in the side view.
I don't remember who designed the bodywork, however. Perhaps Peter Krause
will add more; he has a similar car in his shop.
