Roll bars

Tim asks if the race roll bar could be "slid forward" off the body
section to provide extra clearance for the top.  I have the race roll
bar, and it's possible, BUT, the diagonal would get in the way of the
seat back and you'd have to pull the seat forward enough to allow the
post to sit on the floor.  The curvature of the floor would, IIRC,
prevent you from having the mounting plate on the bar flat on the floor.

I don't know about the rear points on the race bar being the same as the
street bar, but it's likely that the main mounts for the hoop are close
to the same -- there's not a whole lot of space there to do something
different, but the street bar might be a bit narrower to allow the top
mechanism to clear the bar more easily.
