The funniest one I saw was on a honda civic in
Raleigh, North Carolina: Vafancul

I guess there aren't that many Italians in NC motor
vehicles dept. that would know what that plate means
(go f*** yourself), so somehow it got through.  I
thought it would make a great plate for an expensive
italian car.
