Re: Vanity Plates

My two cars have vanity plates that reflect their names (as have all of my
previous Alfas.) The BMW ti is a white hatchback, with the name "WhiteHawk"
and the plate WHTHAWK. The Spider's name is "Coda" (musical term... back to
the beginning) and the plate "CODA" (surprise!)

My previous Alfas:
1977 Spider in poor condition: "LongShot" LNGSHOT
1985 Spider, superb condition: "LongShot-II" LNGSHOT
1988 Milano Plat: "SnowHawk" (it was white) SNOHAWK
1984 GTV-6: "Falcone" (pronounced fal-co-neh) FALCONI
1991 164L (green): "Peregrin" PEREGRN
1991 164L (gray): "GrayHawk" GRAHAWK

A diving bird of prey was in the family coat-of-arms, so I named my cars
(mostly) along hawk names. I still have a couple in reserve: TALON for a
black Alfa, and KESTREL for another Spider (a Kestrel is the smallest of the
tamable hunting hawks.) I still have the plates, hanging in my garage.

Hope this didn't bore everybody too much...

Howard K. Warren, Sherwood, AR
1995 BMW 318ti, "WhiteHawk", 64k miles
1985 Alfa Spider, "Coda", 139k miles
