LEDs insterad of incandescent bulbs

Ted - 

Any chance this could be used to replace some of the hard-to-replace
bulbs in the older cars?  I'm thinking of the auxiliary gauge lights in
Spiders, for example.  any thoughts to the list as to part numbers, etc.
