3.0 Bottom End



	If you are replacing the pistons, for a few bucks more get the S
pistons. I would recommend that you use a better ring than stock. I have
been using either the Deves or Total Seal with great success. Headers and a
better exhaust will help power. I think the SZ versions will not bolt to the
stock exhaust system. The modified ECU's help with more fuel and some a
higher rev limit. We run the 3.0 to almost 7000 rpm. 

	Have you thought about rebalancing the motor? Both of the motors in
the race cars when rebuilt were rebalanced. They are definitely much
smoother than stock all the way up the power band. I assume you are
replacing bearings and rod bolts. Have the machine shop check the rods and
resize and rebush if necessary. Good Luck.
