RE: name that car
That's a Porsche 928, which had the transaxle in the back. Telltale is
the spider intake manifold, which I think makes one of the earlier
16-valve types (Porschefiles out there, correct me if I'm wrong), and
the rear suspension, a Weissach axle. Also, that same image, but as a
nice detailed picture, appears in the Porsche Illustrated Buyers Guide
book, by Dean Batchelor.

It appears to be a V8 transaxle car, but the suspension is wrong for
a Corvette and I'm pretty sure the gearbox placement is wrong for a
928.
