Catalyst checking procedure

Tom has an interesting procedure to check if the catalysts are alive. For all of you except for 95 164 owners, this would be a good first thing to do. For that matter, the '95 owners can do this as well.

Chris Hall's suggestion is a very good one, its the general way that the industry check's for catalyst efficiency. Its is the method that the '95 164 does check for catalyst efficiency.

But, if I were to suggest a procedure to quickly check, I would not do this one. ONLY because you would have to install an O2 sensor after the catalyst. The '95s were the only Alfas that I am aware of that has the second sensor, the rest got along with the single front one.

It is a great idea, but a pain in the butt to do on most Alfas.
