BRM disasters, NAC
Went looking at my old R&T's last night. As was stated yesterday, the BRM
H-16 was a normally aspirated 3 liter (they did that to avoid the
complication of a supercharged 1.5 liter, how's that for logic), and their
equally ill conceived engine for the 1947-1953 period was a blown V-16.
What Michael may have been remembering when he wrote his first post ,
however, was the even more ill-conceived Coventry Climax flat 16 developed
in 1965, last year of the 1.5 liter formula. Never got much more than
200-210 horsepower and never did a thing on a track.
