RE spider window motors

Doug,
You can get to a closer connection point in the door by carefully pulling
back the front top corner of the door cover (under the wing window) and
pulling the two wires out of the "access hole" in the inner door; unplug the
wires (there's connectors there) and try operating the motor.  You're right
about the two wires, reverse polarity on the two wires to reverse direction.
If you have speakers in the door(?) remove those first.  

At least this way you can test the motor from a closer point before pulling
the whole door cover off.
