Re:Dirt Cheap 164 in UK

I telephoned to buy it, but it has sold already. It was apparently in quite
good condition. 295 pounds ($410) Sheesh. There is another with 142k on the
clock for $300, but I was interested in the first as it had been a one owner
car since new which says quite a lot. I can't understand these prices for
sound cars, but it would have made a great third or spares car. The car dealer
cut me off before I could ask how many miles it had done.

I see on the Autotrader website that high miles 156s are now down to about
6000 pounds ($8400). By high miles I mean 80-100k. These are three year old
cars in the main and it is becoming slowly apparent from anecdotal evidence
that the overall servicability of 156s is not good when compared to 164 Twin
Sparks. Too many electronic glitches seems to be the common thread I am
picking up on. Now, why am I not surprised.
