Re: Alfetta Seats

Brian,

My '77 Alfetta GT/Sprint Veloce/GTV has the back seat upright held in by at least two wing nuts through the bulkhead (maybe four). It's really tough reaching around the gas tank to get to these, too.

This car is also equipped with NO holes in the bulkhead for accessing the top shock nuts. Wanna know how fun those were to change out?

We've discussed before Alfa's ability to introduce changes randomly on the production line, I'll bet this is one more instance where quality control was ill-defined or non-existent.

I love my Alfas, mostly because of these type of characteristics. Imagine a world where your best mate is exactly like you ...

I'm guessing your gas tank is in the trunk floor too.

The US cars had the gas tank right behind the seat, so the seat back was
fastened in place by screws from the front.
