Thomas may now everything ever about the business of selling new cars in 
the USA, but (like many others) he makes the probably-incorect assumption 
that GM will be importing the Alfas, a la Opel or Lotus Elan.  Chances are 
FIAT will be responsible for importing and marketing their own cars, while 
taking advantage of GM's huge dealer network, and perhaps their financing 
might.  The key phrase there being "chances are," as no one knows right now 
what their plans actually are, but I think most people will agree that GM 
being responsible for selling the cars, per se, is highly unlikely.
