when did FIAT buy Alfa? Thomas A. Gonnella says '87 in ARv8#34. just 
curious. since mine was manufactured 07/86, is it more of a *REAL* Alfa, 
since its pre-Fiat?

that's only half tongue-in-cheek

i got my car inspected today. apparently it has 1091743 miles on it, and 
this did not surprise the tech guy. maybe Alfa's (don't say it) image is not 
that bad...
