7th Annual Washington DC All Italian Car Tour & Track Event



I received the following notice in the mail a few days ago.  If you need a

"7th Annual Washington DC All Italian Car Tour and Track Event

Sunday May 7th 2000

Sponsored by the Lamborghini Club America.  All Italian car owners are
invited.  A 2-part event: Tour/track & Car show (w/catered lunch).  Taking
part in both is not required.  Tour/Track - Grand Tourings's door open at
8AM.  Tour departs Grand Touring (Laurel, MD) at 10AM for Summit Point, WV.
Once at Summit, the group will enjoy some exciting laps on the track.
Awards given to 2 cars per club for "style" on the track.  A video of the
cars driving "Summit" will be mailed to track participants.  Car Show &
Lunch - At 1PM, show begins at Criswell Lamborghini in Gaithersburg, MD.
Track participants will arrive later.  At 3:00PM a catered lunch will be
served.  Live music by "Arise From Thorns" at the show.  Call Kevin (703)

Summit Point Driving Classes & Rules
White Touring - The purpose of this class is to enjoy driving the Italian
car on the track.  The White Touring class has a speed limit of 90 mph and
there is no passind allowed at any point on the raceway.  Any driver is
able to participate in White Touring.
Red Touring - This class is intended for more spirited driving.  There is
no speed limit during the Red Touring class.  Passing is allowed at certain
sections of the raceway.  Drivers must flash their headlights prior to
passing to properly warn the car being passed.  Participation in the Red
Touring class requires pre-approval from the event organizers.  Approval
involves driver skill verification (DSV) & a car tech sheet signed by a
mechanic.  Grand Touring is avialable for a tech inspection.  The event is
using the Ferrari Club of America (FCA) tech form.  A driver's skill is
verified by completing the DSV form & submitting it to the event
organizers.  To receive a DSV form, simply fill out the attached
registration form, select the Red Touring Class box and send it with your
check.  All people who select the Red Touring Class box will receive a DSV
form and a FCA tech form to be completed & returned.  Red Class
participants must have their signed tech sheet and DVS form submitted by
9:30am the day of the event.  If approval in the Red Class is not granted,
the the White Class is available.  Red Class approved drivers are able to
drive in both the White & Red classes."

The Track/Tour (Track, Tour, Show & Food) cost is $45 per person
The Car Show/Lunch (Show & Food) cost is $25 per person
