Spider, GTV, Berlina gas tank sending units

Pertaining to the question about different gas tank sending units on GTVs
and Spiders, there were two types of tanks.  The "bayonet" and "screw-on"
gas cap types are different in themselves, but what they really point to is
that the screw-on cap tanks hold two gallons or so more than the bayonet
type tanks, by being a couple inches deeper.  Hence, there are different
sending units needed for the tanks because they are different heights.  I
have seen the big tanks only in 72-73 GTVs and Berlinas, not in Spiders, but
that doesn't mean they weren't used there.  The big tanks stick noticeably
higher through the trunk floor than the regular tanks.
