V6 Modified Pulleys for Timing Adjustment

Has anyone ever modified the stock V6 cam pulleys/hubs so that the cam
timing can be adjusted?  I'm not looking to get too exotic - just a
little bit of advance in hopes of moving the torque curve to the left. 
Also, if anyone has advanced the cam timing (by whatever means), what
were the results?
