Porting/polishing a V6 intake manifold

I have an extra V6 intake manifold and I am toying witht the idea of =
porting and polishing it. Has anyone done this (or anyone using one from =
Zat or Sperry, etc.) and was there any noticeable difference? Anyone want =
to share some techniques or tips? I know that inexperienced port job can =
ruin a good head, but I doubt that this area is as critical, and as I =
said, this is a spare.
