It is actually hard not to when you wash the engine bay, but be
prepared with towels and sticks and whatever tool appropriate to dry
all the pieces, including plug wells, strongly recommand you to open
up distributor cap and clean it. There's 99.96% chance that
condensation gets in there. Cover all the old rubber connector covers
as much as possible (common places are AFM connector, abs reservoir,
abs pump, advance device connector, etc) , use common sense about what
to protect, and dry as much as possible before fireing up the engine

haven't had any issue so far.
