They didn't work will.  They were made by Electrolux and did they ever
suck.  They were a pain to use and a pain to fix and to add insult to
injury they were unreliable.

The track ran along the inner sill so the belt came over your inner
shoulder and always caught your foot entering or exiting.

I know I have strong opinion but they exist only to preclude air bags.  I
thought Mrs. Dole was generally a good head of DOT but she got us good on
this one.
