Audi/Tspark conversion/Fan shroud

Right on to Brian in regards to Audi's marketing department, they handled the 60
minutes thing well and are doing an even better job of glazing over their
current TT scandal, which mind you is very legit. I am a transportation design
student and recall having an instructor who worked for Audi during the TT's
development and he told me flat out that Audi knew that the shape of the TT was
aerodynamically inefficient at speed, but the design department refused to let
the engineers slap on any spoilers or downforce producing equipment. Now there's
a spoiler as well as an understeer producing roll-bar setup to quell what should
have been designed out in the first place. Audi may have better marketing men,
but I'll take my Alfa on any high speed run, thank you. Those here who don't know
what I'm talking about, that only goes to show how good Audi was at making this
go away. If any of you here would like to post this to some Audi forum, feel
free, I fear no flames on this one.

OK, to those wondering about dropping a Tspark into an older Alfa, here's what I
learned from the July 98 issue of Auto Italia:
To do conversion (this on a 1975 US spec spider) Donor car was Alfa 75.

Crankshaft must be drilled to accept spider gearbox
Oil pump from old 2-litre needed as feed is different
Water pump from old car
Sump from old car
flywheel from old car
clutch from old car

Fuel injection and ignition from Alfa 75 donor car

Exhaust manifold and air filter had to be custom fabricated

Original Radiator was a very tight fit but do-able.

Lastly the hood "just" clears the taller T-spark engine

To those who requested a copy and have provided me with contact info, article is
on the way.
Hope that helps you 4-cyl guys.

Ok back to V6 related stuff, I've hard that certain Milano fans came with
shrouds, while others didn't (like mine). What's the consensus, Do Milano owners
have shrouds on their fans or not, I hear they are very effective in improving
cooling.
