Synthetic Gear Lube

Providentially I am forced to join the synthetic gear lube discussion.  A
friend just gave me three quarts of RedLine MTL Synthetic Gear Lube
(GL-4) that he had on his shelf and could no longer use!  But here's the
problem.  The MTL container after touting all the many blessings of
RedLine synthetic gear lube, clearly warns, "Do not use in rear ends
requiring a GL-5 lubricant".  Now the Milano manual clearly states a
requirement for GL-5 in the transaxle.  So do I use the RedLine MTL or
not?  Is there some other variety of RedLine that I should have been
given or that I should break down and purchase?
