I used an old socket, a couple of washers, a bolt long (enough to fit =
through the socket and shift lever), and a piece of metal cylinder (the =
same OD as the bushing I was taking out). I assembled the high tech =
puller as follows:
1) I put the bolt through the socket with a washer just under the head =
of the bolt. The head went towards the smaller end of the socket. =20
2) Then fit the bolt through the bushing/shiftlever.
3) On the back side of that the cylinder was fitted up against the =
bushing and lastly the washer and bolt.
This allowed me to tighten the bolt and press the old bushing out. =20
