afaik, any vehicle 25 years old or older, may be imported w/absolutely no
restrictions. there was also recently passed congressional legislation that
will allow you to import a brand-gnu vehicle (alfa, anyone?), but there are
extreme usage limitations. a few articles have been written about this in some
of the auto rags, like autoweek.
