SHO's

for the record:
89-95 5 speed manual SHO's 3.0l V6 from Yamaha, 220hp
93-95 4 speed auto SHO- 3.2l V6 from Yamaha, 230 hp
95-99 4 speed auto SHO- 3.4l V8 from Yamaha, 240hp.

NONE of these engines were ever used in any other vehicle. Although the
original engine was intended for a completely different car, but the
Explorer got in the way...

I used to have a '94 SHO test car, great car. Probably the ONLY US made car
which could compete engine to engine with the Alfa's. If I recall
correctly, the last 24v Q's made something like 240 hp. I love the one in
my wife's 94 LS.

But don't ask about that terrible exhaust design (Don, are you listening??),
who was the moron who though of that- one of the few pieces on the 164 which
is designed to break!
