Octane for Spiders

Steve,

In answer to the following e-mail.  I use 87 POR in my 86 Spider and it
works fine.  This is what the manual recommended.  Actually it says nothing
lower than 86 POR.

What octane are folks using in their late-model spiders?  I've been using 93
but wondering how the engine would run on 89.  Sorry if this has been beat
to death before, which it must have been.
