FrankenSpider is a 1982 Bosch EFI engine, but fitted with the late model
10.4:1 compression pistons (standard equipment on '91 and up cars, I
think). I run Premium Unleaded, 92 octane, and have had no detonation
problems. I'm not inclined to experiment with lower octane fuels, not at
sea level anyway.
