My Spider shares the exact same symptoms (includng the rattle).  Maybe a
model year problem? Considering I live in SF, high revs in low gear are a
frequent combo to get over those hills.  Any diagnoses welcomed.  And if
Paul or Bob get helpful suggestions off-digest would they mind forwarding
them to me too?
