Spider Hard Top Seal

Has anyone put a new seal between the top and the rear deck of their
hardtop??  Does this seal seat into a track of some sort or does it just
glue in?  I think I may have found a seal, but on close inspection of the
top at the mounting surface, there is nothing there except a chrome strip.
Could someone take a look at their top to see how this seal is fitted into
place?

I need some words of wisdom.
