I replaced the mechanical points in the Bosch distributer in my 79 Alfetta with the Pertronics unit (~ $75 USD). Has worked flawlessly for 4 years or so. Side benefits included easier starting and much improved idle. It does retain stock rotor and cap. Jerry in Houston ------------------------------
