More about shops
Hi John
One has to make terms acceptable for legal reasons mainly..
One of the meanings of "has to work" is that, at my request, ARI (former
ARDONA) indicated them as being geographically closest and assigned -
following my choice - them to perform the filler neck recall on my
164.According to what their head of shop told me, they don't like to work on
Alfa too much. They'd rather work on Mazda. Why?
I can only speculate...
I'd rather have the work done ( and I rarely do since I work on my car
myself) by someone who is INTERESTED in what he does rather than get it over
with.
However, they DID have this one mechanic that seemed totally different. In
fact i just have received a mail from a digester that describes this mechanic
as a very well known Italian car specialist.
I respect the proffessionalism he has shown and would go back to HIM .I don't
know about the shop though..
As far as the meaning of Recommended by AROC?
How about this:
Recently I have been at a meeting of the local chapter of Long Island
AROC.There i have met some people that have inspired a lot of respect to
me.They seemed to unanimously believe that this place "Alfa Import Center"
was a very trustworthy shop.Further on, later in the meeting i got to know
the owner of the place and i have asked him a selection of questions about
the 164 that i regard as being "controversial" and got some interesting
answers.
Sooo.. I guess he's fine
