308 tire size recomendations

Does anyone know if there are any clearance problems on a '78 308 with the 
following tire sizes?

Front - 225/50-16
Rear - 245/45-16

The rims would be 7's in front and 8's in the rear.  Would there be any other 
concerns other than clearance?  Would the wider footprint upset the balance 
of the car in any way?  Any thoughts?
