Getting Heat in '83 GTV-6???

All summer long I talked about the oppressive heat here in Houston and
getting my A/C to work as well as it can.  No, with the first cold wave of
the season coming in last night I find I don't know how to get any heat into
the car.  Engine is at nominal temp (175F).  There is the usual a/c-def
lever and the Int-Ext lever.  On the a/c unit there is the fan switch and
temp switch.  How does one set up to get heat into the car??  I have only
been able to get cold air blowing out of the dash vents.  Can anyone help?
