Monza used to be run by a great ex-Ferrari mechanic, forget his name know but
somebody on the list will know.
When he retired he passed on the shop to Luigi, a really affable Calabrian who,
at least to me, seems to know his stuff.
He has always recommended other specialists to me for jobs he didn't feel he was
the best man for the job, for example,
making sure my Spider would pass CA emissions, and fixing and rewiring a nasty
short caused by a horrendous PO stereo and alarm installation.
One downside - he's not cheap
I wonder if he's started employing lousy assistants, or your experience happened
with Luigi himself. Trunk release and parking brake
should be easy things to deal with. I agree that you should not pay more than
parts for a fix. Let me know how you fare. You could also try the excellent
but curmudgeonly Roger at Roger's Autoworkz in Oakland.
