Suspension wows resolved, and fuses

I finally had my suspension wows resolved. For those of you who don't know
the story,
I order Shankle sport springs, sway bars and koni shocks for my spider way
back in April
or May of last year from AR Ricambi. The sway bars and shocks came at once,
but the springs were backlogged. In the middle of the summer one set of
springs came and the second set came in September. See how it was close to
putting my baby away for the winter I didn't bother installing anything.
Come this spring I took all the part to Giovanni (who else would work on an
Alfa Romeo) for installation, along with the normal oil change, head bolt
torquing, etc. He phoned me and said that he had installed the first set of
front springs and when he opened the second box he found another set of
springs. It turned out that I had received (though AR Ricambi said it was
impossible) a set of super sport front springs and a set of racing front
springs. Giovanni had installed the racing front springs.

After a few phone calls AR Ricambi agreed that I had two sets of front
springs and that they would ship me the rear springs, but I would have to
pay for them first and they would refund the money for the extra set of
front springs when I returned them. To make a long story short (if that is
possible at this point) I returned the springs with a letter stating that
they should pay for the shipping, brokerage fees and the cost of
uninstalling and reinstalling the front springs. After many months of not
hear from them I sent another e-mail asking where my refund was. They
called a couple of days ago and said that an accounting error was
responsible for me not getting my refund and that they were doing it that
day. Today I received confirmation that the springs and shipping costs were
refunded. I still had to pay the extra installation and brokers fees.

My position? Well, I am satisfied but not delighted. I realize that I
should have inspected the parts when they arrived so that the wrong set of
springs were not installed, but having never crawled under the car (except
to look for rust when I bought it) I wasn't familiar enough with the parts
to tell the difference.

Any comments?

Fuses. Fuses do blow from old age and vibrations, but they must be old.
Replacing a fuse and having it blow within seconds, days, or months is not a
good sign.
