Hi Tom,
Your car is an Alfetta Gt - that's what the '76 & '77 cars were called,
before they switched to Sprint Veloce for '78 & '79.
As far as the vacuum problem is concerned, on my '77 spider there is a
pressure relief valve that gets clogged up. It's attached to a really thin
hose near the tank - don't know where it would be on your car.
