V6 Valve Clearance

The intake valves in my '91 164L are set to .019" clearance. According to the 
factory manual (on CD ROM), this is correct for all 164s. However, the 
Centerline catalog says .019" is correct only for the 164S, and all other 
3-liter engines (after 1987) should use .016" intake clearance. Anyone have 
an insight into this discrepancy?
