33 gear box

Hi.
I have a 33 Imola (1.5 IE) 1994, with 70000 km.
Last night I had a problem with the gear box stick.
It was normal in 1st and 3rd, but it has a loose and longer than normal  
movement in 2nd and 4th.
In adition it's almost impossible use the reverse (3rd instead)

I will go to my mechanic tomorrow, but I would like to know if someone has
had a problem like this. 

Any advice will be useful.
