You were contacted by Nelson Motorsports about transmission repair. The =
car in question is a 1964 Alfa 2600 spider with a 5 speed transmission. =
Can you, or will you point me toward someone who can rebuild this =
transmission. At the moment it is very difficult to get out of 1st gear =
when parked and you wish to put it into reverse and sometimes into 1st =
gear from neutral gear. There also is a building vibration in the tranny
=
starting at about 35 mph and gets worse the faster you go. This tranny =
is almost identical to the Guilia and Giulietta transmissions other than
=
having an extra gear and being beefed up to handle the additional torque
=
of the 2600 engine. Thanks for any help. Joe Wehrhem
