Offer 2K or so, plus or minus depending on water pump, timing belt,
tensioner update, clutch, rubber parts (all very likely to be shot on a car
this old), interior, A/C.  Most of these items are 500.00 a piece to fix, so
don't take on a restoration unless you've got 5K+ to spend.

I have an '81 and broker these occasionally...let me know if you would like
an appraisal.  The '81 is arguably the best GTV6 year out there; you don't
get Brembos on the front or a 140 speedo, but the tranny final ratio and 4th
and 5th are right.  Shifter is sloppy, but manageable for true Alfisti.
