Milano paint

I know I posted this before but I lost the replies:
My '87 Milano's paint (red) is starting to look very dull and
sun-worn. What's the best way to make it shiny again, short of a
respray? I have a whole evening set aside tomorrow to fix this. 
Someone mentioned a 3M product called Finessit, I think. Does
anyone have any experience with this? Any other suggestions? And
is this a clearcoat finish?
