Re: Subject: 77 spyder pricing?

1. $6500 sounds like a lot unless the car is in truly
remarkable conditiion. Lots of recent mechanical work,
performance additions, etc. I see '73 & '74 models
(superior model years,IMHO) for less than that if they
are in reasonable3 shape. Current edition of our club
mag, the Overheard Cams, lists a '74 with new paint and
tune-up for $3200 and an '89 Spider with a recently
rebuilt engine for $7250.

2. It's an Alfa, NOT an "Alpha". (Technically it is an
ALFA. But spell it Alfa Romeo. Trust me.)

3. The type of Alfa you are considering is a Spider. Were
it made by Porsche or Mitsubishi, it would be a Spyder.

Subject: 77 spyder pricing?

can anyone tell me if $6500 is too much for a 1977 spyder? the
car appears in excellent condition, very clean, except for small amount
of oil underneath. The seller is second owner.
Any other info would be appreciated, this would be my first
Alpha.
	TIA
