Some years ago, in MT or R&T magazine there was a little picture of the
Miami Vice "Ferrari Daytona". They explained that the Daytona was $ 250,000
or so, but this kit car based, as you pointed out, on a Corvette, was a mere
$35,000. Cheap for a Daytona look-alike, however not enough to blow up
either, I guess.
