Header experience.

Hello All,
My spider has a crack in the cylinder 4 exhaust manifold tube.  I want to 
replace it with a header.  There are several to choose from, and I'm sure 
they work well.  My question is about road clearance.  Has anyone found lower 
exhaust clearance since installing a header unit?  Was the installation 
smooth enough without modifications?  Did the unit accept the O2 sensor, if 
applicable?  Did the header prove to be an upgrade in performance and quality?
