Yep, noticed the same thing on my Verde and summarily removed the stupid
rubber trim piece (saves weight too!!). The hole is still WAY too small
though and i'm not sure that the front of the car is the highest pressure
point to draw ram air from. Inside the wheel well can be very good on some
cars. 

Wish I had a way of measuring the static pressure at different points while
in motion. Any suggestions from anyone??
